Opinion: Jobs are the answer to violence

What is happening in Cincinnati? How did we get here? How do we respond? These are the questions that rest at our front doorstep. Further, what are we to do when so many suffer from conditions (chronic poverty, crippling unemployment, mass incarcerations) that cause escalating violence? One possible answer could come from Los Angeles, where Gregory Boyle, a Catholic priest, coined the phrase, "nothing stops a bullet like a job."
