My grandma used to tell me I was born for greatness and that stuck with me. For a long time, I thought that meant I had to prove it, to always be achieving something big. The pressure wasn’t from anyone else, it was strictly from me. I set the bar so high that I rarely stopped to appreciate what I’ve already built.
Lately, I’ve been learning that greatness doesn’t always look like constant motion and go go go. Sometimes it’s taking a step back. Sometimes it’s saying no (because that’s a complete sentence). Sometimes it’s showing up for your team or yourself, with grace instead of guilt.
In entrepreneurship and in life, there’s this idea that success has to feel like a grind. But I’m realizing that I’m already living in my greatness, even in the quieter seasons. Especially in the ones where I’m learning to take care of myself while I keep growing.
So here’s your reminder: you don’t have to chase greatness. You’re already living in it.
