Why does the work that MORTAR is doing in communities matter?
Mortar lives up to its mission!!!  Enabling under-served entrepreneurs and businesses to succeed and thrives means everything.  Mortar opens up doors for those, whose dreams can now become reality, it empowers them with the necessary tools to build and execute with greatness – allowing them to step out of their comfort zone and embrace their new space with confidence and integrity!  STRONG OWNERS/STRONG BUSINESS/STRONG ECONOMY!

If you could only listen to one musician/artist/band for the rest of your life, who would that be? Why?
That is a hard one because I have several….but since I have to select one, I guess that would be Marvin Gaye.  He was an artist that could just take any theme, complement it with powerful and sultry lyrics and musicality…that it became the ultimate in MELLOW MADNESS!

If you could be the mayor of Cincinnati for a day, what’s one thing that you would change?
There are a few…but, let’s make it simple…Free street parking (OTR/Central Business District) one month out of the year – creating more opportunity for people to experience downtown.  You would be surprised the number of people who do not visit their city’s downtown, due to parking barriers.

Share your thoughts on the idea of “Building businesses. Transforming Cities.”
When you build, transformation automatically begins to take hold. Urban ecosystems create new business and foster growth. Job generation. Connection to other resources that can lead to partnerships and scale the business. Transforming urban work environments.

Final thoughts?
MORTAR is a value-add to the City of Cincinnati…and I am proud to be a part of its continued journey.
